Launched in February 2023, the Centre for Finance, Innovation and Technology is set on a mission to accelerate the UK’s position as the global centre of innovation in financial services. Created as a key recommendation of the Kalifa Review of UK Fintech in 2021, CFIT is leading industry through collaborative effort to unblock barriers to growth for financial technology by bringing together the best minds from across the UK in order to drive better outcomes for consumers and SMEs.
Open Finance is the focus of the first coalition announced by CFIT, drawing together partners from across the UK including Birmingham based businesses. This event is a chance to learn more on the CFIT mission, build understanding on how coalitions work including Birmingham coalition members – HSBC and CrediCar – on their role in advancing open finance, as well as plans for the future.
