The latest insights, news, views & updates from the UK's first ProfTech cluster
It’s been another busy month for SuperTech! As we near the end of 2023 we took a moment to celebrate the impact and progress we’ve achieved through the collaborative power of the cluster at the SuperTech Mayoral Roundtable. The region has so much to be proud of with exciting news from Vanti, CrowdProperty, Nimbus, Furbnow and GFA Exchange. We are full of optimism for 2024 - watch this space!
A mission-led event chaired by Andy Street, Mayor of the West Midlands, brought together influential industry leaders from the regional and national ProfTech sector to shine a light on ‘next generation services’. Looking to the future, the cluster committed to build on the great progress to date by collectively working together to deliver the region’s Plan for Growth. We’d like to give a huge thank you to Andy Street’s office for their support and making this happen!

Combatting Automated Push Payment (APP) fraud is an urgent priority - fraud losses grew to a staggering £485 million in 2022.
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the City of London Corporation have collaborated to launch a new synthetic data-set to support the development of products to combat APP fraud. The data-set, which mimics real transactional behaviours, is being hosted within the FCA’s Permanent Digital Sandbox. Successful applicants can access varied support alongside the data-set, from expert mentorship, showcase opportunities and networking within the ecosystem.
