It's been a very busy start to 2024 for SuperTech! The successful launch of ‘The Innovation Lab’, a FinTech incubator programme for SMEs to elevate their business to the next level working alongside BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK and STEAMhouse, is just one of the many initiatives that is building growth and innovation in our region’s ProfTech sector.
Secure Trust Bank joined our Connector Series and look forward to supporting and guiding regional businesses to supercharge their ideas and bring them to life.
We also welcomed our new SuperTech team. The diverse range of skills and experiences is great to see and we look forward to the work that will be produced by this dynamic team – watch this space.
This month was rounded off with some very positive news from Furbnow, who secured £950K investment.
What a way to begin the year!
The Innovation Lab – LAUNCHED!
BNP Paribas Personal Finance is Europe’s largest bank, serving the UK for over 150 years. With a vision to be a positive change, they drive to provide helpful and affordable finance options for customers to trust and use every day across three main areas: home, car and personal finances.
They are seeking SMEs to join the Innovation Lab and address this challenge:
“How can we use external data and insights to better engage financial services customers in order to generate mutual value and trust for the customer, the FS provider (i.e. BNP Paribas Personal Finance) and any 3rd party data provider alike?”
Successful applicants will receive a tailored business and development package offering support and direct access to key stakeholders at BNP Paribas Personal Finance and project support from one of STEAMhouse’s dedicated Innovation Managers.

New Connection to the Connector Series
Secure Trust Bank has joined the current third season of SuperTech's successful Connector Series, collaborating alongside the likes of BNP Paribas Personal Finance, Paragon, Wesleyan, Dudley Building Society, Coventry Building Society, Unity Trust Bank, Shoosmiths and more.
The Connector Series is a pioneering innovation programme that supports tech start-ups in the West Midlands through soft introductions to regional Business, Professional & Financial Services (BPFS) sector business leaders. It’s designed to supercharge ProfTech SMEs big ideas into reality.
